HOOK NORTON F.C. 2 – WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK F.C. 2 (After extra time)

A great deal of credit must to go two both sets of players and match officials for putting on a really

enjoyable match in very difficult conditions at The Bourne on Sunday.

Playing against higher league opposition, Hooky began the game well and went ahead on 11

minutes when hesitancy in the visitors defence allowed Jamie Wyatt to lift the ball over the

advancing keeper into the net.

Hooky went close to doubling their lead on 25 minutes when a Jason Tillcock header cashed back

off the crossbar.

The visitors levelled after 48 minutes Dean Thomas forcing home a corner.

W&E looked the more likely side to score the winner in 90 minutes but Hooky held out for extra

time.

First half of extra time saw Hooky take the lead on 100 minutes through Jason Tillcock finishing off

a good move.

Once more Hooky were unable to defend a corner and John Rusby headed in from close range on

114 minutes to force a replay.

Replay Tuesday 13th September.
