Hook Norton opened their Hellenic League Divison One West campaign at Cricklade Town on Wednesday night, and left disappointed only to come away with 1 point rather than taking all 3.
After an even opening start to the game Cricklade Town opened the scoring on 18 minutes, Aaron Webb capitalising on a goalkeeping error from Matt Dixon to slide the ball into an empty net.
Hooky soon levelled with Sekou Bangoura getting on the end of a Jamie Wyatt through ball, rounding the keeper and from a tight angle slotted the ball into the net.Hooky continued to create the better of the chances, Jason Tillcock just unable to get the final touch to a Jamie Wyatt cross, and Dan Browne missing his kick when trying to lob the keeper, leaving the scores level at half time.
Cricklade Town started the second half the better without really threatening Matt Dixon's goal.
As in the first half Hooky created more of the chances with Jonny Da Silva and Jason Tillcock both missing good opportunities.
On 80 minutes good work on the left from Reve Basanti getting to the byeline and crossing the ball for Jason Tillcock to score from close range.

The lead lasted only two minutes, Hooky failing on a couple of occasions to clear a Cricklade Town corner, the ball finally being prodded home by James Baker.
In stoppage time Danny Poole played in Chris Tillcock who narrowly shot wide.
